FAQs

How do I get the app?

  • Use the buttons above to download the MyFootball Manager app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Who can access the app to score our team games?

  • Anyone that your team/club/school gives access to. This could be players (eg: Captain), Coach, Manager or Parent Volunteers.

I forgot my password

  • You can reset your password via the Sign in button and clicking 'Forgot Password'

I forgot my username

  • Your username is most commonly your email address. If you're unable to perform a 'Forgot Password' function using your email address for your username, please contact Support.

I have logged in, but I can't see my game?

1. The most common reason is that your draw has not been published yet. Check your Federation website.

2. Check with your club/school admin that you have access to the right team.

3. Ask your club/school admin to send you the login link again, click on the appropriate link in the app and then log into the app again.

4. If this still does not resolve your issue, please note your username, the device you are using, and the Version of the App you are running (click menu at top right to find this). This information should help us investigate further.

Do you have to be online/using data to use the app?

  • No, the app lets you score games offline. Simply ensure you open the app and view the fixture while you're connected to the internet before you head to the game. After you've finished scoring and later connect to the internet, you can open the app and it will upload your score back to your Federation.

Selecting Game Day Teams

Do we have to select our team in the App?

  • Selecting your "Game Day Team" is an important part of the process in monitoring player eligibility. However, this is only required by some Federations for some grades. You can still score a game when you haven't set your players in the app, but the goal statistics will not be counted against a player, and the system will be unable to count the game towards a player's "total games played" tally that may be required for finals.

A player doesn't appear for selection in my Game Day Team in the App

  • Players must be registered AND placed in a squad by a club/school official in order to be selected for your game day team.  We recommend your club/school advises all teams who they should contact within at club/school if you receive a late registration that needs to be placed into a team urgently.

What if we don't have a full team but still want to submit a team sheet?

  • You can leave a player number blank when submitting your team sheet.

What do we do if we need to borrow players from another squad to make up our team?

  • You can select players from other squads belonging to your club/school by clicking the "Select from other squad" option. The player's normal team and grade will display in the game day team sheet for both your team and the opposition. Normal eligibility rules apply.

Scoring the Game

If my phone dies or I need to leave in the middle of the game while I am scoring, what do I do?

  • Before your phone goes flat, ask someone else to login to the App on their phone and "catch up" to the score you've recorded.  They can submit the final score on their own device, and you can "delete" your record of the game. If all else fails, the other team should also be keeping score on their own device OR anyone can keep the score manually on a piece of paper and you can update the app later on.

Are two scorers required to score a game?

  • No. If each team has a scorer, then they should both score the entire game for all goals on both sides. If there is only one scorer, they can similarly keep the score for both teams.

My app is showing the end of half score in Red. What does this mean?

  • The app performs checks of your score submission vs the opposition team score submission to confirm your scores match.  If the score displays in Red, this means there is a conflict in the score. When the score changes back to Green, this indicates both teams have the same score recorded.

The score I am adding is not showing as a live score on the website

  • The team on the left of the draw is considered the "live scorer" so their results will update to the website.

The app crashed, what can I do?

This is extremely rare. Troubleshooting tips to try if this happens:

  • Log out and log back in.
  • Hard close down the app and log back in.
  • Ensure if prompt, you have updated to the latest version.
  • Set your phone to airplane mode and score offline. You can still score the game when offline. Then when you are back in reliable internet coverage reconnect and your result will be uploaded.
  • Delete the app and reinstall.
  • If none of the above suggestions resolve the issue, please complete this form. The reports your issue to our technical team to investigate further.
